AI4AL on the move during the ALL DIGITAL Summit 2023 in Zagreb: Skills for Digital Tomorrow!

AI4AL partners were involved in a series of workshops and panel discussions during the ALL DIGITAL Summit, an annual premier event for learning and networking in the digital world, that was held in Zagreb on 25-27 September with the theme: Skills for Digital Tomorrow.

On the first day of the summit, Christoph Bretgeld from SkillLab joined the workshop on Unlocking Synergies: AI, Education and Entrepreneurship, where he highlighted the need to connect people, jobs, and education through skills. He discussed the role that AI-based tools can play in this referring to the AI4AL tool that is currently being developed to help adult educators in matching skills of their learners with job profiles and training offers.

The second day of the summit was marked by a workshop organised by the AI4AL project in collaboration with SkillLab, EAEA and ALL DIGITAL with the theme: AI-Driven Skill Profiling for Education and Career Orientation. The workshop aimed to equip educators with the means for better skills needs assessment, personalised training offers and career orientation by teaching the fundamentals of an AI-driven skill-profiling and career orientation tool.

Following the demonstration offered by Clara Mutiarasari from SkillLab, the participants consisting mainly of adult educators tested the AI4AL matching tool’s beta version and discussed its features. The workshop participants provided feedback to improve the language and features of the tool and expressed their willingness to test the tool further with their learners.

On the third day, Angeliki Giannakopoulou from EAEA joined a panel discussion on Digital Skills for Inclusion. The panel consisted of speakers from a variety of projects in relation to promoting inclusion through digital skills including the IDEAHL project focusing on digital health literacy, Our Digital Village working for co-designing digital education in rural areas, IBOX – Inclusion Box aiming at ensuring more inclusive education and training organisations, EQUALS-EU promoting gender equity and digital inclusion in social innovation and D-PAIDEIA empowering teachers with digital skills.

Are you an adult educator curious about what AI4AL is doing and interested in getting involved in the development of our AI-based tool? We will be soon recruiting 100 adult educators to test our tool and will also offer further training opportunities later.
